About Ocean Shores

Ocean Shores, WA is unique unto itself. The peninsula is surrounded on three sides by water and features six miles of uninterrupted wide-open sandy beaches. Ocean Shores is approximately six miles long and only two miles across at its widest point.

There are 23 miles of interconnecting, spring fed, fresh water lakes and canals. It is a boaters paradise, whether water-skiing on Duck Lake, sailing, canoeing, Kayaking or windsurfing.

The peninsula features 70 miles of waterfront property, along the bay to the east and south, the ocean to the west, and along the shores of the lakes and the canals that meander through Ocean Shores.

Wildlife is abundant on the peninsula. Ocean Shores is home to more species of birds than any other locale of its size in the entire USA. Deer, otter, beaver and bald eagles call Ocean Shores home.

The 1,100 acre Oyehut Wildlife Refuge and Protection Island, both located near the marina at the southern tip of Ocean Shores, offers a range of activities and outdoor recreation.

Owning a piece of Ocean Shores is like owning a piece of mind that comes from living at the beach. With everything Ocean Shores has to offer, there's only one question left..."Why would anyone want to live, work and play anywhere else??"
